About Album

After recording the first three records produced by a company, I began a new phase, in which I became an independent producer.
This triad begins with LA PONZOÑA, POLCAS DE MI TIERRA y CHAMAME CRUDO, as the first developmental stage. Although I have always composed music in all my records, it’s in this specific record that I felt the as the birth of the composer I am today. The ideas appear with more sharpness, though not so as regards the sound; as the strong influence from forms like Jazz and Rock music are present in this record, where the active presence of electric bass and drums can be felt all throughout this work.
My composing style in tunes like “Posadas”, “Formosa”, “Escenas de la vida en el borde”, “El Monte”, “Misiones”, and “Pynandi” is clearly defined. What really changed during these last years, is not so much in the compositional structure aspect, but in terms of timbre and textures, which moved forward towards a more acoustic, chamber music sound.
This album was recorded in three days, and it includes the participation of Mercedes Sosa and Victor Heredia in “Solo para mi”.
Violinist Pablo Lopez leaves behind his path, a strong and clear aesthetic form, which led to a very special place for the violin in many of my future musical projects.
